Welcome back to another weekly roundup! This week we have a plethora of new announcements (which is making us excited for the upcoming year at Albert Hall), including The Fray, English Teacher and Dinosaur Jr. As well as a quick run through of some of this weeks memorable performances, and what to expect this week at Albert Hall including three sold out shows from Laura Marling!

Starting of strong, we had an incredible run of artists over the past week, with performances from Lawrence, on their Family Business Tour, and FISH who performed one of his last shows as part of his Farewell to the Isles Tour. Check out some of the photos below!

The Fray

Following a decade-long hiatus, we welcome The Fray to Albert Hall with their How To Save A Life: The 20th Anniversary Tour. After defining the alt-rock sound of the early 2000’s, The Fray have walked away with multiple accolades, including four GRAMMY nominations, three Billboard Music Awards, and their breakout single, ‘How To Save A Life’ spent an incredible 58 weeks on the Billboard top 100! This tour celebrates 20 years of the bands breakthrough, and their 17th of November show at Albert Hall has now SOLD OUT!

The Cat Empire

Hailing from Australia, jazz and funk band The Cat Empire have recently announced their much anticipated album Birds in Paradise, set to be released on the 7th of March. Following the jazz groups recent reformation, they take inspiration from their early days, as well as the sound of Flamenco, to create an expansive and colourful album. Following the release of their album, they are touring the EU and UK, joining us at Albert Hall on the 17th of October….

Call Of Cthulu Live

Ancient mysteries, forbidden lore… secrets humanity was not meant to know! Join Keeper of Arcane Lore Mark Meer and an all-star cast of Investigators as they confront the terrors of the Cthulhu Mythos in Call of Cthulhu Live. Chaosium Inc and AEG present the world’s foremost tabletop game of horror and mystery, live on stage in five venues across the UK.

English Teacher

Quartet Indie-Pop band English Teacher have announced their tour, following the successful release of their 2024 album, This Could Be Texas. After winning Newcomer of the Year at the Northern Music Awards hosted at our venue last year, we’re naturally looking forward to welcoming back the BRIT Award nominees who take our stage on the 20th of November!

Dinosaur Jr.

On the 18th of May, we welcome rock legends Dinosaur Jr, Celebrating 30 Years of Without a Sound Tour! Considered one of the major influences in alternative rock music in the 90s, Dinosaur Jr create a distinctive sound using drawling vocals, distortion and feedback. The band’s success amounts to their unique soundscape, having no other band that sounds the same, they have created a genre-defying medley of classic, grunge and punk rock.
