ContactA long-standing member of the team, Sam started in November 2017 as Assistant Manager at Albert Hall, and worked his way into the role of Deputy Manager, until Covid. After exploring some other opportunities in between lockdowns, he headed back to us, as our wonderful head honcho, aka General Manager, since late 2022. Over the years, he’s seen plenty of artists on our stage that he’s loved, including Idles, The Libertines, Jon Hopkins, Peter Hook and Johnny Marr!
Sam loves that he gets to work with such an incredibly talented team filled with different skills and strengths, but all with a shared passion to make the venue what it is today.
With a long-standing love for our venue, from flyering outside Albert Hall to interviewing artists or marketing an independent record store, Hannah came on board as our Marketing & Ticketing Assistant in Autumn 2021. Having worked her way up to Marketing Manager for Albert Hall, she is an example of a nice full-circle moment.
Even before working here, there are plenty of artists that Hannah’s seen and watched in awe at our venue, including Stereolab, Kurt Vile, Self Esteem, PJ Harvey, Caroline Polachek, Little Simz, Ichiko Aoba, Kae Tempest, Pixies, Amyl and the Sniffers, Kamasi Washington, Magnetic Fields and many more.
Liam’s been with us for over 8 years now, having started in April 2017, and since then he’s truly grafted and worked his way up, from bartender right through to Deputy Manager!
Even his first shift was a big one, with him taking to the bars during Run The Jewels’ huge sold-out show. A lover of all things club and nightlife, over the years, he has been wowed by the likes of Jon Hopkins, La Discotheque, CamelPhat, Fred again.. and similar, but his stand-out has to be Nils Frahm.
Over on our @alberthallprivateeventsmcr side, this is Claire, who is our resident Sales Manager, taking care of all manner of private events here - from weddings to conferences, photoshoots, gala dinners and plenty more! She brings a fresh perspective and passion for showcasing the venue’s versatility beyond live music.
Since joining us in 2023, Claire has been elevating our private events offering, delivering bespoke, memorable experiences and helping people see a whole new side to a venue best known for iconic gigs.
If you’re looking to host your event here, get in touch by emailing claire@alberthallmanchester.com!
But what about gigs? Earlier this year, Claire had the perfect nostalgia trip seeing JoJo at Albert Hall; in fact, she even accidentally met the singer-songwriter just by chance as she was leaving! Doesn’t get much better than that.
Joining us back in September 2021, Sabhi started out behind the bar and has since grafted his way up through the ranks, from Team Leader, Supervisor, and Trainee Assistant Manager, to now holding the role of Assistant Bar Manager.
Over the past few years, he’s been a key part of the team running some massive events, keeping things running smoothly through some of our busiest periods. His hard work, dedication, as part of the Bar, Stock and Accessibility teams, have made him an invaluable part of the AH crew.
When it comes to live music, it’s hard for Sabhi to beat seeing Gregory Alan Isakov, Hozier, or Fred again.. take the stage!
Joining us way back when behind the bar, Jen has become an integral part of our team through years of hard work and a true passion for live entertainment. From day one, Jen was keen to progress and has elevated her career with us from Bartender, to Team Leader, to Supervisor and is now proudly an Assistant Manager!
In charge of all things people and recruitment, Jen is a main point of call for our staff. A special moment for her was getting to work as a manager during Laura Marling’s recent shows, as she was just getting started as a bartender the last time she played! A truly special moment - we’re beyond proud of her achievements.
Jen recalls several stand-out acts she’s seen with us, but says Self Esteem’s three-night residency in 2023 was her favourite.
We're steadily updating this page each time we share a new 'meet the team' panel on our social media channels.

With a life-long passion for music, Frankie has become a familiar face since joining us a few years back. Having worked at various venues, he started as a bartender but has since progressed up to a Team Leader position, as well as being part of our Sustainability Committee!
His passion lies in getting to be part of a core memory for gig-goers, fondly recalling many encounters both across and behind the bar and particularly recalls seeing Kesha here as a highlight.
Plus, thanks to his keen interest in all areas of the industry, Frankie recently joined Hannah as part of our Marketing Team!
Over on our Private Event side, we have Jorgina. Joining us a few years ago with a keen interest in events management, she works behind the scenes pulling everything together for our clients and ensures everything runs smoothly.
The highlight of her time with us so far is getting to host the Chanel press launch ahead of their Metiers D’Art Show, right here in Hall!
Although a music lover, she perhaps holds the title of our only member of staff who is yet to see a live show at our venue…
Having joined us while The Deaf Instiute was still under our belt as an Assistant Manager, Max is now a key point-of-call at Albert Hall for all staff!
With a passion for providing world class entertainment, Max is head of our Sustainability Comittee and Outreach Committee, saying that his passion lies in being able to give back to the local community.
He recalls running Pixie’s three-night residency at our venue back in 2023 as a highlight as a manager, with Richard Dawson being his favourite artist he’s seen at Hall.
Joining us as a bartender, Gina was always keen to progress her career and has done so through a strong commitment to upholding our values and providing a world-class experience.
Having leveled up to become a Venue Supervisor, her drive didn’t stop there - going on to become our Accessibility Co-ordinator and then stepping into her current role, engaging with our customers to provide support where needed.
Gina works hard to ensure that our historical building is equally accessible to all of our guests, making adjustments and leading communications as well as providing training for all staff!
She recalls seeing Osees as a particular highlight of her time here with us.
Since joining us as a Bartender back a few years ago, Laura has excelled in every way possible, working hard to level up and achieve her current position where she is training to be an Assistant Manager!
She is a well-loved member of our team, known best for her positive and can-do attitude, recalling Waxahatchee, Hozier and Gnoss as her favourite shows to have worked so far…
One of Laura’s favourite moments with us was when she actually had the opportunity to perform on stage as at one of our Private Hire events, as part of her band ‘Powell and Rose’!
Since joining us almost 10 years ago as a Bartender, Jack has gone on to become the (if we do say so ourselves) King of the Bar! Working hard to progress and utilising our Trainee Assistant Manager route, he’s garnered a reputation for going above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, thriving in his role as Bar Manager.
Jack’s love for Albert Hall comes from the continual chance to be a part of something magical, stating that those moments where the crowd is eager with anticipation, the production is ready to go and everything just clicks into place… they make it all worthwhile.
Since starting with us, he’s caught a plethora of shows, citing Fatboy Slim, Jon Hopkins, Tame Impala, Thundercat and Gogo Penguin as just a few of his favourites!
