Thursday Lineup

Amy Laurenson (Scotland/Alba)

Amy is a pianist from the Shetland Isles who masterfully blends traditional, classical, and jazz influences. Her music redefines the role of the piano in traditional music, weaving together the rich melodies of Shetland, Scotland, and beyond.

Rioghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet (Manchester)

Rioghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet are an eclectic troupe based in Manchester. Their sound spans from the bountiful to the subtle, with everything from big-band swing to Alabama blues-tinged folk, all held together by powerful vocals and flute from Ríoghnach. Traditional and folk are fundamental in Connolly’s musical cannon. In her voice you can hear equal parts Sean-nós Caoineamh, West African griot ululation and American deep-south resonance.

Strange Boy (Ireland)

Strange Boy, a unique talent from Ireland, embodies the fusion of a millennia-old poetic spirit with the vibrant energy of modern rap. Hailing from Limerick, this innovative artist has captivated audiences with his distinctive blend of hip-hop and Irish traditional music.
