Saturday Lineup

Córas Trio (Northern Ireland)

Córas Trio reinvent the spontaneous. With traditional melodies weaving through compelling textures, their sound blends fiddle, guitar, and percussion with transcendental electronics, creating a dynamic interplay between free improvisation and seisiún-style playfulness.

Gwenifer Raymond (England)

Gwenifer Raymond is a Welsh-born, England-based guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer inspired by American primitive, pre-war blues, and Welsh folk music. She was inspired by underground bands like the Pixies and Nirvana, while her deft fingerpicking style was shaped by Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James, Roscoe Holcomb, and John Fahey. Expect the unexpected from Gwenifer Raymond.

N’famady Kouyaté (Cymru/Wales)

N’famady Kouyaté is a young energetic master musician from Guinea, who relocated to Wales in 2019. A talented multi-instrumentalist, N’famady’s primary instrument is the balafon – the traditional instrument sacred to West African culture and his family heritage of the griot/djeli. N’famady’s arrangements are a fusion of Mandingue African with western jazz, pop, indie, and funk influences.
