Becks and Mark began their journey just over a decade ago, having their first ever date at Albert Hall as indie it-boy Mac Demarco took to the stage as part of a Beacons Festival day-do!
They continued to visit gig after gig, relishing in the romantic atmosphere as they danced the night away under our stained glass windows…
The pair kept on going from strength to strength, growing in fondness both for one another and for our venue!
Over the years, they caught the likes of Mogwai, Viagra Boys & King Gizzard, recalling Beach House in 2018 as a particular highlight. The multi-platinum selling band took to our stage in support of their seventh studio album.
After seven years of doing life together, the couple finally said ‘I do’ – right up on our very own mezzanine, the place where it all began!
Mark contacted our dedicated wedding team, expressing interest in surprising Becks with a candle-lit proposal in the very same space that they shared their first date. We were delighted to facilitate such a special moment, and helped put everything into place.
Becks was completely dumbfound as she was led to the mezzanine, completely taken aback by the romantic gesture.
In an entirely full-circle moment, the couple made their way back to Albert Hall. This time, they were the headliners!
Their intimate wedding ceremony took place in the presence of loved ones on our very own mezzanine, a magical moment in which they exchanged their vows and cemented their love for one another, acting as the gateway chapter to the rest of their lives…
